Ping Identity Launches Cloud Identity Management Service

Cloud identity security firm Ping Identity announced its new multiplexed (one-to-many) cloud-based service PingOne, designed to provide businesses with Tier 1 Single Sign-On (SSO) access to all of their cloud applications and give IT centralized, automated control over identity management and user access.

“Enterprises asked us for a better way to connect their workforce to the cloud,” said Andre Durand, CEO of Denver-based Ping Identity, in a prepared statement. PingOne, he said, fills that need because it’s completely self-service.

According to the press release, PingOne features include:

  • PingOne is an open network using standard identity federation protocols, including SAML, OpenID, OAuth, and the SCIM provisioning standard.

  • Businesses with existing SAML infrastructure can cut administration costs up to 90 percent by using PingOne to manage their customer and application connections.

  • PingOne is designed to extend PingFederate customers’ identity architecture into the cloud.

  • Ping Identity’s cloud identity management platforms address a broad set of identity security needs.

  • PingFederate and PingOne integrate with more than 30 different on-premise identity technologies using industry standard protocols in private, public, or hybrid clouds.

PingOne is currently in beta and will be available for new customers starting April 10, 2012. Click here to read more about PingOne on the official website. Channel partners can click here to learn about Ping Identity’s partner program.
