OS33 Develops Virtual Datacenter Controller for MSPs

OS33 is busy again, this time partnering with Cloupia, a cloud-computing automation and management software provider, in order to power OS33’s new Virtual Datacenter Controller for MSPs.

The OS33 Virtual Datacenter Controller was developed to let MSPs define and provision their virtual environments quickly, affordably and reliably so that their customers can have more control and flexibility over their cloud environments, OS33 claims.

“We’ve been looking for a solution to power our data center controller,” said OS33 President and CEO Jacob Kazakevich.

He says OS33 needs to provide three layers as part of its cloud-based package for end users: a user interface (UI), a cloud control panel, and a virtual data center controller that allows MSPs to deploy virtual resources. “Our mission is to provide the MSP community with a unified, IaaS infrastructure.” OSS33 Launched its IaaS platform for MSPs in late February 2011.

Kazakevich thinks OS33 has found the appropriate support solution  for its virtual datacenter controller in Cloupia. “We selected Cloupia a a partner because they have the easiest technology to integrate with our platform,” Kazakevich said. “We’re very excited to partner with them and provide a full solution.”

Cloupia Vice President of Products and Marketing Bhaskar Krishnamsetty shares Kazakevich’s enthusiasm about the Cloupia — OS33 partnership. “We are very excited about the OS33 partnership because of their deep expertise in the MSP space and proven platform,” Krishnamsetty said. During our conversation, he expressed concern over the lack of integrated tools available for MSPs in the cloud. “We believe clients like our product because we offer so many integrated tools and because we offer one of the most comprehensive cloud management solutions on the market,” he said. “We want to help companies evolve into the private cloud.”

Next on the agenda for OS33? “Were working on improved billing. We know MSPs will require this soon and we’re trying to improve it,” kazakevich said. “Other future development will come from client feedback.”
