Managed services and telecommunications provider Ormuco recently launched Connected Cloud, a hybrid solution that allows customers to easily migrate between private and public cloud environments.

The Montreal-based company said its solution, which is based off of Hewlett Packard’s (HPQ) Helion OpenStack solution, will serve as a means for gaming and other large-scale enterprise organizations to move their cloud applications, services and environments between different environments by spinning up a hybrid cloud instance. Stored data can be switched between a public and private ecosystem on a pay-as-you-go basis.

“Ormuco is entering the cloud services market since there is a vital need for a hybrid cloud solution with streamlined functionality for enterprise customers,” said Ormuco CEO Orlando Bayter, in a statement. “HP Helion OpenStack and Ormuco’s new data centers enable us to create environments that focus on service delivery regardless of the underlying infrastructure.”

Ormuco currently has data centers in North America and plans build more data centers globally later this year, according to the announcement. And as members of the HP Helion Network, Connected Cloud users will also have access to workload portability through data centers managed by HP Helion ecosystems members around the world.

“Ormuco requires extensive geographic reach and the ability to meet customers’ in-country or cross-border cloud requirements,” said Steve Dietch, vice president of HP Helion at HP.  “With HP Helion OpenStack and the HP Helion Network, Ormuco’s Connected Cloud customers will have access to hybrid cloud services from a global, open ecosystem of service providers.”

Last week, HP held its Discover 2015 conference in Las Vegas, where company executives unveiled the new CloudSystem 9.0 enterprise private cloud solution to encourage customers to deploy a hybrid cloud solution for their infrastructures.
