NovaStor Launches Private Cloud Storage Solution
NovaStor, which specializes in data protection solutions, has announced the availability of NovaBACKUP Remote Workforce Version 12.1, which enables private storage clouds that lets the mobile workforce push endpoint backups to a central location and retrieve the data from anywhere.
The company is pushing the complexity-diminishing feature set of Remote Workforce 12.1, including the ability for private cloud administrators to remotely perform backups, no matter where the device data being stored is located physically. And NovaStor saidi t has optimized bandwidth requirements from previous versions, reducing system load when backups are being performed. The company is billing the solution as ideal for companies with a lot of subsidiary or branch offices.
To recover data, users can log in to a web portal, where a software wizard guides them through recovery. And by way of Microsoft Exchange 2010’s built-in archiving and disaster recovery features, NovaBACKUP can restore single e-mail inboxes.
Here’s what Stefan Utzinger, CEO of NovaStor, in a prepared statement had to say about the value proposition:
“NovaBACKUP Remote Workforce 12.1 represents the ideal platform for companies that wish to provide data protection services for their remote workforces, while also staying independent from global public cloud service providers such as Amazon.”
It’s NovaStor reseller partner-enabled, so if this kind of private cloud storage sounds good to you, it’s available now.
