Microsoft (MSFT) is testing a premium version of Outlook.com that supports custom domains.

Outlook.com Premium will cost $3.99 per month during the trial phase, and so far there are no details about how much it will cost once it’s released in general availability or when that may be.

As PC World points out, users can already add custom domains in Outlook with an Office 365 subscription, which costs slightly more at $6 per month.

The plans will include five personalized email addresses and an ad-free inbox. Microsoft partnered with GoDaddy to help Premium customers select their domains.

Outlook.com Premium works as a standalone product and an add-on to Office 365 Home, according to TechCrunch, and could work for businesses and families who want multiple email addresses.

Cloud service providers have little to worry about however as Office 365 continues to be a popular cloud application for business-use.
