IT distributor Synnex (SNX) has added SkyKick's Application Suite and Office 365 project migration application to its product portfolio to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) that want to move their office productivity to Microsoft (MSFT) Office 365.

The SkyKick Application Suite enables IT consultants, system integrators, managed services providers (MSPs) and value-addded resellers (VARs) to automate an entire Office 365 migration project from initial sales to project completion for SMBs.

SkyKick said the application will "move sales velocity, reduce project risk and complexity and simplify the management of the migration project" for partners.

"SkyKick’s proven technology has established a new cloud migration automation category," said Synnex Vice President Rob Moyer in a prepared statement. "SkyKick, in combination with the Synnex Capture the Cloud Program, allows our partners a differentiated solution to scale their cloud revenue and profitability."

The SkyKick Application Suite offers a web planner, migration sync and an Outlook assistant:

  • Web Planner — An online sales, assessment, planning, configuration and project management application designed to help partners streamline the migration planning process.

  • Migration Sync — An online service that moves the customer’s account and user information; email server data like email, calendar, contacts, aliases, distribution groups and other data, as well as the required DNS settings.

  • Outlook Assistant — A lightweight client app that addresses many of the last-mile challenges that make or break the overall migration experience. It configures Outlook and moves client-side data to reduce the friction and frustration for end users and reduces post-migration support for partners.

SkyKick said that it has been used to migrate thousands of SMBs to Office 365 since the company launched its beta application in the middle of 2012.
