Microsoft (MSFT) is rolling out a new cloud migration program for its SMB partners with Cloud SureStep, an educational platform to help users make the transition to cloud services. The program will teach SMB partners to harness the power of cloud computing while minimizing downtime and maximizing business efficiency.

According to Microsoft’s blog on the World Partner Conference 2014 site, Cloud SureStep was built on three core pillars to help its SMBs understand how to incorporate cloud computing into their businesses. The program will help partners understand the basics of cloud servers and then gradually help them to deliver detailed tools and assets to the end users as they grow their cloud capabilities.

“Cloud SureStep represents a tremendous opportunity for partners to learn as they move forward in their cloud business transformation,” said Thomas Hansen, Microsoft’s vice president of Small and Medium Business, Worldwide SMS&P, in the blog post. “Not only does it highlight the strategy and tactics for building a successful online services business, Cloud SureStep embodies Microsoft’s commitment to collaboration with our partners.”

The program is housed within the Microsoft Partner Network website, and includes whitepapers, product information and training for SMBs. SureStep also allows users to connect via the Office 365 Yammer group and the Office 365 technical blog.

According to the company, SureStep is designed to show partners how to increase sales volume, lower the cost of sales and drive demand through digital marketing to maximize profitability. Microsoft plans on adding assets for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online within the next few months.
