M-Files Cloud Vault Debuts as First Document Management Solution For Azure

Partners looking to add a little extra oomph to their cloud portfolio might want to look at Motive System’s new M-Files management software. It’s apparently the first of its kind to offer document management natively on the Windows Azure platform. Motive System cites Azure’s ability to scale as one of the key reasons for choosing the platform for M-Files Cloud Vault.

Set to be showcased at Convergence 2011, the M-Files Cloud Vault is an “immediate opportunity” for those looking to deploy it. Cloud Vault is also an equal opportunity solution, meaning that companies of all sizes can take advantage of what it has to offer. M-Files Cloud Vault provides the ability to track business documents and processes, store documents in a centralized vault, all while being completely transparent to the end users, as though they’re working with a local drive. Motive System’s likes to say it “connects every application directly to the cloud.” M-Files Cloud Vault also integrates with the Microsoft’s Dynamics product family, which allows for synchronizing content between different applications, while also integrating with the Microsoft Office family of products which includes SharePoint.

Partners looking to sell M-Files Cloud Vault have an easy pitch to start with, since it’s offered as a service for just $39 a month per user. For bigger clients, M-Files can also offer an on-premise solution that can be purchased as a paid-up license. That means good things for partners, since they don’t have to limit the type of customer they reach for. The bottom line M-Files wants to drive home is that it’s easy to implement, and easy to see a boost in productivity after deployment. Partners who think this sounds like just the right tool for them should check out the partner program here.

Motive System’s concept isn’t new, but the implementation might be the real channel spark here. We’ll keep our eyes and ears open to see where Motive Systems M-File Cloud Vault ends up and how it shapes future services on Windows Azure.
