LogMeIn Launches Cloud Channel Program for MSPs, VARs
LogMeIn (LOGM) has launched a new partner program for MSPs and VARs. The effort, called LogMeIn Elevate, includes management tools for MSPs plus cloud services that channel partners can resell to their end-customers. VP of Channel Development Ted Roller confirmed the news to MSPmentor. Here’s the update.
First, a little background: LogMeIn’s management tools are already widely used by MSPs. In fact, 35.9 percent of MSPmentor 501 survey participants indicated that they leverage LogMeIn to manage customer systems. But in an earnings call earlier this year, CEO Michael Simon indicated that the company would make a more formalized MSP and channel push.
New Faces, New Programs
That included hiring channel veterans like Roller (formerly of Intronis) and Shannon Kohn (formerly of Datto). Now, Roller is rolling out the new partner program, which will debut in two phases:
- Initially, the program will help partners create “new, high-margin remote management and support services around a growing mix of employer-introduced and employee-introduced devices,” LogMeIn indicated.
- A second phase, expected to be rolled out later this year, “will introduce a reseller program for LogMeIn’s popular collaboration and productivity app, as well as 3rd party cloud app management capabilities through a channel-focused version of LogMeIn’s new IT offering, AppGuru, the company stated.
Channel partners will receive:
- VIP monthly pricing on LogMeIn’s remote support solution, LogMeIn Rescue
- Discounts on LogMeIn’s collaboration apps, join.me and Cubby
- Early access to AppGuru, LogMeIn’s cloud app management solution
- Early entry into LogMeIn’s app reseller program
- Marketing support to help create and sell new managed services
- Access to LogMeIn’s product and development organizations to influence future channel product offerings
- Dedicated tech support
- Channel-specific education to accelerate ROI
The channel program will initially be rolled out to North American service providers, with international expansion expected later in the year, LogMeIn indicated.
Much of that push will involve cloud software — where LogMeIn has a fast-growing portfolio of offerings like Cubby (file sharing) and AppGuru (coming soon). Even before AppGuru’s arrival, LogMeIn now ranks among the world’s top 100 cloud services providers, according to Talkin’ Cloud survey results that will debut July 30.
The Bigger Picture
LogMeIn is pushing hard into the MSP market with a suite of tools — just as the market for point solutions seems to be ending.
In recent weeks, multiple MSP-centric software companies have been acquired:
- SolarWinds purchased N-able Technologies.
- AVG Technologies purchased Level Platforms.
- Insight Venture Partners purchased Kaseya, Zyrion and Rover.
- ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini has indicated that the company remains in acquisition mode.
The result: Standalone MSP tools appear dead. The industry is moving toward suites — and LogMeIn is happy to meet that demand.
