LiveTime Launches HTML5 Service Management for MSPs

IT service management software (ITSM) developer LiveTime Software has updated its namesake solution for MSPs to version 6.5, adding 100 new features, 200 customer requests and, most noticeably, a shiny new HTML5 interface.

LiveTime 6.5 is promoted as adding a new integrated custom report builder, localization in 11 languages and full multi-tenancy for the developer’s MSP user base, according to the press release. The multi-tenancy, in particular, is hyped as helping MSPs manage multiple customers as if each had its own service management solution. As for the new GUI, LiveTime said the new version uses HTML5 to drive open standards and boost efficiency with a much greater ease of use.

The benefits of LiveTime at large, the company said, include the fact that its service management, help desk and service desk offerings integrate with more than 30 enterprise products, and is database-, operating system- and browser-agnostic. LiveTime is designed to be deployed as SaaS or on-premises and is aimed at midsize to large businesses, according to the company.

And for the curious, here’s that full list of changes in the new version, taken directly from the press materials:

  • HTML 5 based user interface

  • Report builder

  • Localization in 11 languages

  • Partner multi-tenancy

  • Rich text editor

  • International spell checker

  • Custom CSS editor

  • OpenID authentication

  • Style sheet editor

  • CI snapshot auto association

  • CI type response templates

  • .NET friendly web services

  • Outbound web services

Needless to say, we’ll be keeping tabs on LiveTime Software going forward, so keep watching.
