Kronos, which provides workforce management and employee optimization cloud services, this week rolled out its new Workforce Dimensions Technology Partner Program.

Technology partners use the Kronos D5 platform to build applications that boost productivity, add more capabilities, and extend the value of the Workforce Dimensions suite.

Workforce Dimensions technology partners further enhance the ability of employees and managers to “work their way, completing important tasks in their natural workspaces,” according to Kronos.

Mike May, Kronos’ senior director of the new program, tells Channel Partners that at this stage, his company is primarily focused on extensibility partners to help its customers solve more problems and gain more value from its technology investment. Extensibility is a software-engineering and systems-design principle where the implementation takes future growth into consideration.

“These are tech vendors with great solutions who can leverage the open APIs offered by the Kronos D5 platform to extend Workforce Dimensions beyond workforce management and human capital management (HCM) to engage with employees in innovative ways,” he said. “Our program also includes integration partners, who now have the ability to facilitate real-time data exchange between HR, workforce management and payroll.”

The market is “very excited” by the benefits that the program already is delivering, May said.

“Fostering close collaboration between Kronos, our customers and partners from across the software industry will help us solve more problems for businesses faster, maximize the value of human capital investments, and deliver breakthroughs that reshape the employee experience and reimagine the future of work,” he said. “These innovations are made possible by the game-changing Kronos D5 platform, which elevates the workforce software standard for access to open APIs in order to make it as simple as possible to achieve these goals.”

The Kronos Partner Network, which is separate from the Workforce Dimensions Technology Partner Program, engages with Kronos authorized resellers, as well as services and consulting adviser partners.

“With the introduction of Workforce Dimensions, Kronos extends its very significant capabilities in next generation workforce management applications,” said Steve Goldberg, Ventana Research‘s vice president and HCM research director. “By providing open APIs to its Kronos D5 platform and a robust developer portal, for example, Kronos is positioned to add to an already extensive ecosystem of partners, all focused on delivering breakthrough innovations poised to reimagine the employee experience.”
