Kaavo IMOD 3.3 Assists MSPs With SaaS, Cloud Services
Kaavo, which develops cloud management and automation services for MSPs, has launched Kaavo IMOD version 3.3. Here’s a look at the update and the potential implications for managed services providers.
Kaavo IMOD is an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) layer over virtualization that lets MSPs deploy Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions. Businesses can use IMOD to manage their applications in a public, private or hybrid cloud computing environment. IMOD claims to offer one-click deployment of scheduling and automation, best practice templates and application accounting.
The IMOD 3.3 release supports the latest Cloud.com 2.2 API, with legacy support for the Cloud.com 2.1 API (though that will end), with added security group support and public IP mapping.
A new Kaavo pricing scheme allows service providers and customers to use only the parts of IMOD applicable to their business via a monthly subscription model. Current customers have the option to reevaluate their subscription and opt for the new pricing scheme. And speaking of pricing, IMOD version 3.3 supports PayPal.
