Just a Few Days Left to Make Your Mark on the Evolving Story of CSPs
Compliance. Multi-platform cloud. SaaS consulting. Application development. What do these things have in common? They’re all things that cloud service providers (CSPs) told us are driving new business for their companies in the 2019 Talkin’ Cloud 100 Research Edition.
Now in its eighth year, the Talkin’ Cloud 100 is Channel Futures’ annual survey and ranking of the cloud services industry’s top partners. This year, we’ve taken a break from issuing rankings in favor of asking our industry-leading readers to give their input into the evolving cloud services market. CSPs have spent the last eight years working to stay on the leading edge of the cloud opportunity, and we want our rankings to reflect what is actually going on in their businesses.
To that end, we are pivoting our award process this year to focus on more substantive contributions to the definition of this industry, rather than a primary focus on revenue as in the past. In lieu of a list of top CSPs, Channel Futures will use the input applicants provide to award those shops that are innovating in this space and giving us the feedback we need to guide future efforts, with several special awards that reflect the way you, our readers, define the goals of cloud services.
While we won’t issue our usual rankings, we will give discretionary special awards to applicants that provide exceptional and insightful feedback. Recipients will be honored at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, April 9-12.
Channel Futures will aggregate and anonymize the survey data to reveal trends in the cloud services market and allow CSPs to benchmark their practice. As an incentive, only 2019 Talkin’ Cloud 100 applicants will receive this report.
Similar to the annual Channel Futures MSP 501 survey, which will open for applications in March, applicants are asked to provide financial information relating to annual revenue and percentage of recurring revenue. Though Channel Futures/Channel Partners will not disclose specific annual revenue information such as revenue dollars, we reserve the right to publish company growth rates based on the private revenue data you submit.
We hope you’ll throw your hat in the ring for one of these special awards, but more than that, we hope you’ll lend your voice to our efforts to define this segment of the channel, to develop new benchmarks of excellence and to tell us what characteristics you think a top CSP should possess.
Do you measure up to your competition? There’s only one way to find out. Submit your application now for the 2019 Talkin’ Cloud 100 Research Edition and help guide the direction of the modern cloud-services channel. Applications will close this Friday, Feb. 15, so apply today!
