Cybersecurity company Jask is integrating the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities of its ASOC platform with alerts from Carbon Black’s Cb Defense and Cb Response.

With this integration, customers will gain a consolidated view of alerts from Carbon Black, Jask and any other existing solution, as well as enhanced data correlation and analysis to streamline alert triage. The Jask platform delivers threat insights that prioritize the way a security operations center (SOC) analyst monitors, analyzes and investigates threats. Cb Defense offers antivirus software, coupled with endpoint detection and response (EDR), while Cb Response provides incident response and threat hunting.

Jask’s Marc Davis

Marc Davis, ‎Jask’s vice president of channels and partners, tells Channel Partners it’s “exciting for us to have one of the most advanced endpoint security companies in the market” sign on as an early technology alliance member in the Jask Answers program.

“This is a great step in building out the Jask ASOC platform with key integrations for monitoring across the enterprise, offering SOC teams a more contextual and holistic view, while also delivering a more efficient way to analyze and investigate threats,” he said.

The Jask Answers program is three-pronged — it includes solution-provider partners (resellers, VARs and distributors), technology alliance partners (technology providers) and deployment partners (MSSPs, SIs and service consultants), Davis said.

“For … solution provider and deployment partners, this alliance means they can offer Jask’s ASOC platform to improve their customers’ SOC efficiency and help them to keep pace with modern attackers,” he said. “The power of the ASOC platform, coupled with the expertise driven from our partners, is a unique combination that can actually direct security analysts to the answers they need — improving their response to cyberthreats. The Carbon Black alliance will let our solution provider and deployment partners extend value to customers from their current investments, earn higher margins and truly enter the next evolution in cybersecurity.”

For Carbon Black customers, the combined solutions offer automated, intelligent alert correlation from any platform, with analysis capabilities that streamline response times. The integration will arm Jask customers with an in-depth view of their endpoints using Carbon Black.

“SOC analysts are working with an array of cybersecurity tools and managing thousands of alerts each day, while attackers only need to slip by once to cause damage,” said Michael Viscuso, Carbon Black’s co-founder and CTO. “It’s critical we leverage new technologies such as Jask’s ASOC platform to deliver the context security teams need.”

Jask launched Answers earlier this month, but “we’re already seeing incredible traction and forming numerous market-changing alliances,” Davis said.

“There will certainly be more to come in the months ahead,” he said.
