Intronis Launches Local Backup, New Reporting Tools For MSPs
Intronis has added a new local backup feature and new portal upgrades to their existing portfolio for MSPs. Plus, we hear the company may be close to announcing a new channel chief hire. Here are some quick details about both efforts.
The new Intronis local backup option will let MSPs pick and choose data to backup specifically to a local device, or backup off-site, all inside one piece of software. Intronis’ goal is to reach out to IT service provides who have clients with varied data backup needs and requirements. The idea is to make hybrid backup solutions streamlined, less expensive and easier, the company says.
You can get your hands on the new local backup feature at just under $5 a server per month, for unlimited local storage. Also of note: Intronis says it has enhanced its management portal with a new reporting tool that makes it easier to manage their backups and plan future backups.
On the personnel front, we hear Intronis is close to announcing a new channel chief. The new hire is expected to have extensive experience working with MSPs and solutions providers. The channel chief position opened up in April 2010 when Eric Webster resigned to pursue a new opportunity.
If our hunch is right, we expect an update from Intronis on the channel chief post pretty soon, and we’ll also check in with Webster to learn more about his new efforts.
