Intermedia Pushing Cloud Server Through Partners
Intermedia has released a new suite of cloud services for channel partners to take to end customers, providing SMBs with enterprise-grade cloud server infrastructure.
Intermedia Cloud Server is being launched through the company’s channel partners and through distributor Ingram Micro‘s Cloud Marketplace. The idea is to provide SMB customers with 24/7/365 support, VPN, firewall and 99.999 percent uptime. According to the company, the suite of cloud services gives channel partners complete control over the cloud environment, giving them the opportunity to be the trusted provider for SMBs that want to stay focused on their core competencies.
For partners, the real value is in providing a “high-performance, high-availability white label solution,” said Renee Bergeron, vice president of Managed Services and Cloud Computing at Ingram Micro.
Many of the benefits the company is promising are fairly typical for cloud-based services, including simplified management tools for less complexity, high-availability and high-performance; a configurable and customizable architecture; dynamically scalable servers to quickly provision and scale servers; and fixed monthly pricing for predictable costs.
“Without a secure, cost-effective, integrated platform, these applications are not able to reach their full potential, because the company becomes distracted by the technology instead of focused on driving business growth,” said Michael Gold (pictured), Intermedia’s president, in a prepared statement.
Hosted on Intermedia’s high-availability infrastructure, the vendor promises guaranteed availability and preferred routing to Cloud Server customers. It’s being hosted in Intermedia’s SSAE16 SOC 1 Type II-compliant, Tier III data center with redundant electrical and cooling infrastructure, verified levels of physical security and redundant power supplies.
The new Cloud Server suite of cloud services was developed to give SMBs with limited resources access to enterprise-grade cloud services. Intermedia built its business on providing cloud services for SMBs and bills itself as the largest Microsoft Exchange hosting provider.
