Intermedia Offers Microsoft Office 365 Services for Partners

Cloud service provider and deeply entrenched Microsoft partner Intermedia has followed through with the launch of its syndicated Microsoft Office 365 cloud productivity suite offering.

Our last update on Intermedia’s plans to offer Office 365 came way back in August 2011, when TalkinCloud’s Joe Panettieri spoke with then-Chief Marketing Officer Manlio Carrelli (he doesn’t appear to still be with the company).

At the time, Carrelli promised two things: Intermedia’s Office 365 product would be available from the company’s reseller partners (Update: Intermedia has reached out to clarify that Office 365 is available to its Advisor partners, not Private Label), and it would be fully integrated with the company’s other cloud services.

A refresher: Microsoft Office 365 syndication partners, as a refresher, are among the select few that can set their own cloud prices by wrapping additional services around Office 365.

On both counts, Intermedia’s press release indicates that it’s come through. In addition to core Microsoft Office 365 components Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Lync Online, Office Web Apps and Office Professional Plus, Intermedia is offering complimentary cloud migration, 24×7 support, spam protection and endpoint cloud backup as value-added services. And for an additional fee, customers can tap Intermedia’s portfolio of cloud-hosted e-mail encryption, hosted PBX and the like layered on top of their Office 365 deployment.

“Businesses that demand the highest level of customer service, reliability, security and control choose Intermedia. Whether they run their business on one of our Office in the Cloud plans or Office 365 from Intermedia, they have 24×7 phone access to our unparalleled expert and highly responsive support team,” said Intermedia CEO Michael Gold in a prepared statement.

It’s definitely worth noting when Intermedia, which has announced some significant hosted services momentum (and you can still get Intermedia’s Office In The Cloud hosted service offering), is starting to offer Microsoft Office 365. But Intermedia likes to bill itself as the full-service messaging provider, and this is just giving partners another way to show some flexibility.
