Intermedia Cloud Outage: CEO Offers 'Profound' Apology

Intermedia CEO Phil Koen offered a public apology for a major cloud services and hosted Exchange outage on Sept. 3. In addition to the technical setback, Intermedia also took a beating on Twitter and Facebook, as frustrated customers and partners vented for most of Sept. 3 without much reply from the company. Still, Koen’s public apology seems sincere. And it’s a safe bet the company is closely exploring how to leverage social media during a service issue.
