Ingram Micro is reaching out to more than 100 systems integrators at this week’s 2011 Spring Systems ArchiTECHS Invitational event in Huntington Beach, Calif. The theme? “Let Us Take You There: Your Business. Your Future.” Essentially, it looks like Ingram Micro is out to show system integrators how to expand their business by moving to both managed services and the cloud.

Renee Bergeron (pictured), VP of cloud computing and managed services, is on hand for the event — which is hosted by Holly Garcia, senior director of Ingram Micro’s Components Business Unit, and Tim Ament, vice president and general manager, Direct and Consumer Markets for Ingram Micro U.S. Ingram Micro bills it as the only channel event specifically geared towards system builders.

No doubt, Ingram has been working hard to promote its cloud aggregator strategy in recent months. The company launched the Ingram Micro Cloud portal in late 2011 (see TalkinCloud FastChat Video, left) and an Ingram Micro Cloud Summit is scheduled for June 2011.

At this week’s show, technology partners like Microsoft, Intel and Kingston Technology will take the main floor to address the assembled channel pros. Breakout sessions will focus on topics like market trending, best practices, and emerging technologies.

But ultimately, the bigger story involves Ingram’s continued push to define how distributors will help channel partners embrace the cloud.
