Ingram Micro is expanding its Ingram Micro Cloud into a worldwide services organization that will specialize locally and scale globally to accelerate the adoption of cloud services.

First launched in North America, the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is a transactional online marketplace for channel partners and IT professionals to educate themselves; browse, buy, deploy and manage a comprehensive suite of cloud services with ease and efficiency directly from Ingram Micro. Under the new worldwide organization, Ingram Micro’s online marketplace, which features more than 200 solutions and 70 vendors, will adopt a global platform that is built to enhance the marketplace’s capabilities and introduce a new series of cloud-management services.

“Ingram Micro’s recent acquisition of SoftCom and adoption of a best-in-class automation platform … serve as significant growth catalysts that will further enable us to scale our cloud services success globally.”

As part of Ingram Micro’s new global cloud organization, Turker Sokullu, president and founder of Softcom, now also serves as vice president of cloud platform and product design for Ingram Micro. Renee Bergeron, vice president of cloud computing, has expanded her role to include global cloud sales and marketing.
