Ingram Micro Cloud Summit: Microsoft, Skykick Join IM Cloud Marketplace

Ingram Micro (IM) is counting Microsoft (MSFT) Office 365 and Skykick among the latest additions to its Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, giving its channel partners the ability to offer the cloud productivity suite to their customers along with a smooth migration path to get there.

“Microsoft is driving cloud-first motion and Office 365 is growing like gangbusters, so we wanted to offer something to our channel partners,” said Jason Bystrak, executive director, Ingram Micro Cloud for the Americas. “This new offering enables channel partners to purchase, provision, manage and invoice Microsoft Office 365 through the marketplace.”

Under the enhanced channel model, Ingram Micro is performing all the Level 2 support, while migration is available through Skykick. The combination, along with the ability for partners to add on Level 1 support, provides for an end-to-end approach to offering cloud services, he said.

“A lot of channel partners want to own the customer experience and the cloud subscriptions as well as service delivery,” Bystrak noted. “This allows them to do that fully.”

The enhanced model was just one of five announcements Ingram Micro is making at this year’s Cloud Summit, held this week in Phoenix. Also announced:

Additions to the Cloud Marketplace: Joining Microsoft and Skykick are Acronis, Cirius, McAfee, Nomadesk, RingCentral and TrendMicro. Plus, Ingram Micro has created a Healthcare Suite, available on the marketplace, that includes technology aimed at the healthcare market bundled in one SKU.

Ingram Micro Service Desk: Providing level 1 support for channel partners who want to supplement their existing services abilities, Service Desk addresses the need for partners to answer post-sales support calls. It can be white-labeled or private depending on the needs of the partner and is staffed by Ingram Micro associates offering 24/7/365 services via phone, chat and email.

Cloud Ignite Services: Cloud Ignite offers additional capabilities for channel partners to supplement their skill set or add scale to their cloud services delivery model, Bystrak said. Cloud Ignite Services assist channel partners with the implementation of cloud-based solutions including a free Level 2 service desk and assistance with migration and onboarding needs, according to the company.

Ingram Micro Cloud Elevate: “This is our premier loyalty program that provides rewards and enablement to help partners succeed,” Bystrak said. “It’s designed to help them accelerate their business,” through discounted education, marketing and business transformation services from third-party vendors.

The Ingram Micro Cloud Summit continues through March 10. Stay tuned for more news throughout the event.
