IndependenceIT Unveils CWS 5.0: Here’s What MSPs Need to Know
IndependenceIT has added orchestration and workflow automation for third-party workspace-as-a-service (WaaS) platforms to its Cloud Workspace Suite (CWS) desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) solution.
The workspace automation platform provider said its new release, CWS 5.0, offers automated cross-platform software-defined data center deployments and support for Azure Active Directory-as-a-Service across public, private and hybrid clouds.
Other CWS 5.0 features include:
- Application services for the delivery of application workloads
- Customer-specific resource scheduling capabilities
- New user interface
“We have raised the bar with cutting-edge features and unmatched levels of automation in version 5.0,” IndependenceIT CEO Seth Bostock said in a prepared statement.
CWS 5.0 is now available with pricing that starts at $7.50 per user per month and scales down with volume.
What does CWS offer MSPs?
CWS enables managed service providers (MSPs) and independent software vendors (ISVs) to “provision, manage and monitor complete workspaces in the cloud,” according to IndependenceIT.
It allows MSPs and ISVs to deliver applications and WaaS to users at any time, from anywhere and on any device.
In addition, CWS enables users to access Windows desktops, business and productivity applications and corporate IT systems, IndependenceIT said, without compromising security, performance or control.
Bostock noted the CWS 5.0 will enable IndependenceIT to provide MSPs with additional growth opportunities.
“The enhancements position us well in a rapidly expanding market with positive long-term opportunities.”
A recent Citrix Systems (CTXS) survey of more than 500 service providers suggests strong and growing demand for DaaS offerings.
The “2015 Desktops-as-a-Service: Global Market Trends” report found 71 percent of respondents expect to realize increased revenue from DaaS this year.
Just over half of respondents said they anticipate DaaS revenue to rise by 16 to 50 percent, while 17 percent project revenue to will grow by more than 50 percent in 2016.
