Hitachi Consulting Unveils Cloud Management Center Offering

Cloud complexity is endlessly creeping into organizations, but Hitachi Consulting hopes it can provide a solution to those woes with Cloud Management Center (CMC), which the company is calling “a unified cloud service broker offering designed to help organizations struggling with cloud complexity.”

Using cloud automation and transformation technology with enterprise cloud consulting services, Hitachi aims to simplify the cloud and speed business adoption of cloud services. CMC was designed to act as a cloud broker by providing a centralized resource for aggregating, customizing and automating cloud services from multiple providers.

It’s not easy for organizations to keep focused on services from only one or two providers; in fact, it’s nearly impossible. With many businesses using cloud services from several different providers, the management of those cloud services is becoming increasingly complex, and it’s up to trusted providers to help customers find a way to keep their headaches to a minimum. If CMC works as promised, it seems like a good fit to keep the complexity low without jeopardizing the usability of cloud services businesses are relying on more and more.

“The technology that enables CMC was designed specifically for large business and government organizations, to minimize the complexity of the cloud by centralizing, automating, and streamlining cloud sourcing, procurement, implementation, management, security, and governance,” said Brian Erickson, senior vice president of Hitachi Consulting’s strategic technology practice, in a prepared statement.

Hitachi Consulting’s multi-cloud management service offers the promise of several positive results in an organization, including improved IT service quality, speed and agility, a single point of cloud accountability and control, up to a 30 percent IT cost reduction, and up to a 50 percent reduction in cloud resource management and cloud project deployment time.

Channel partners may want to take note of what this global consulting company is doing and, if they haven’t done so already, find a way to simplify the management of cloud services for their customers. It’s safe to say this will become more and more valuable to businesses as they continue to add cloud services from multiple providers to their organizations.
