Cloud file sharing service Hightail today announced integrations with Mover and SkySync that allow enterprises to sync, share, transfer or back up files across any connected system.

Mover enables customers to back up, copy and migrate files between cloud storage services, while SkySync is a Microsoft (MSFT) Windows app that allows organizations to sync and move files across storage systems.

Hightail said its new partnership with Mover and SkySync enables enterprises to select a storage provider and leverage bi-directional syncing, migration and backup abilities on nearly all on-premise and cloud-based storage services.

“The enterprise ecosystem is changing, and while IT has long relied on legacy, on-premise repositories only, now both IT and employees realize the potential of the cloud,” Jeff Schmidt, Hightail’s general manager of enterprise, told Talkin’ Cloud.

Mover CEO Eric Warnke noted his company’s new integration provides Hightail customers with greater flexibility.

“Today’s user is constantly on the move — we need solutions that can operate at the same speed,” Warnke said in a prepared statement. “Our integration with Hightail allows users to benefit from total and unhindered cloud access to move and transfer data wherever it lives.”

Where will Hightail go from here?

Hightail pointed out the new integrations give enterprises “a streamlined experience for ultimate collaboration and productivity.”

Schmidt noted the integrations also support the needs of chief information officers (CIOs) and chief technology officers (CTOs).

“Security and the user experience are the top concerns for CIOs and CTOs looking to leverage the cloud,” he said. “Companies want a way to benefit from the flexibility and scalability of the public cloud without worrying their data will be compromised. Our partnership with SkySync and Mover enables enterprises to securely connect on-premise and cloud-based storage solutions with their legacy systems. It’s about giving users what they need to succeed in the enterprise with one seamless experience.”

Hightail has no further integrations planned at this time, but Schmidt noted his company will continue to explore all of its options.

“Hightail is constantly looking for ways to better its products and improve user experience,” he said.
