Healthcare Cloud Firm CloudWave Joins Microsoft CSP Program

CloudWave is the latest cloud provider to join the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program.

The company provides IT solutions for healthcare, including its OpSus Cloud Services, which have been specifically designed for the healthcare segment, offering compliance with HIPAA and HITECH.

CloudWave’s cloud solutions including Infrastructure-as-a-Service, managed disaster recovery services, monitoring and management services and VPN support connectivity, architected for MEDITECH.

Cloud adoption in the healthcare industry increased from 25 percent in 2014 to 41 percent in 2015, according to a recent report by Dell. Healthcare providers specifically increased the use of private cloud services, email services, and disaster recovery.

Through its participation in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program CloudWave will offer Office 365 and Microsoft Azure solutions to its customers and own the entire billing process and support.

CloudWave said that Microsoft’s cloud solutions are complementary to OpSus Cloud Services by allowing hospitals to choose services that meet their needs.

“We are continuing to see an accelerated growth of interest and adoption of cloud technologies for healthcare,” Jim Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President at CloudWave said in a statement. “Joining Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider program allows us to expand our cloud portfolio, ensuring our ability to provide our customers with the best cloud solutions to meet their specific workflow requirements. Whether it’s Azure or OpSus, or a hybrid model which leverages both, we’ll continue to provide the right solution to facilitate the delivery of patient care.”
