FiberCloud Offers Upgraded Cloud Exchange, SharePoint 2010

Cloud and hosted service provider FiberCloud has announced a boost to its managed Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint offerings for customers and resellers with an upgrade to the 2010 versions of both, including all the relevant Microsoft security updates.

In the press release, FiberCloud boasted the updates to Exchange 2010 and SharePoint 2010 were delivered “with the same security and uptime FiberCloud customers experience during non-maintenance periods.” Customers and resellers can take advantage of Exchange 2010 and SharePoint 2010’s enhanced business continuity, mobility and security upgrades, while still paying what they had been for their hosted mailboxes and deployments. And FiberCloud is still offering a 99.9 percent uptime SLA.

“Our team of IT professionals worked diligently to ensure the upgrade was successful, and completely transparent to our clients and resale partners. This is yet another example of FiberCloud’s long record of outstanding service, while offering best-in-class cloud services and colocation in SAS 70 Type II audited facilities to any business of any size anywhere,” said FiberCloud Chief Operating Officer Susan DeFlorio in a prepared statement.

Yeah, Microsoft Office 365 may be where Redmond’s advertising budget is fixated right now, but service providers such as Intermedia are still experiencing huge momentum by hosting and managing the legacy versions for customers.
