Saluan is well-known within MSP circles. Now, he'll push deeper into desktop as a service for channel partners at EmeCloud.

EmeCloud has hired former Zenith Infotech Senior VP Maurice Saluan as VP of Sales. The company, based in Bradenton, Fla., offers Desktop as a Service, Applications as a Service, Hosted Email as a service and Line of Business applications as a service via channel partners. The partners can re-brand the service as their own.

According to a prepared statement from Donald Scheid, CEO of EmeCloud: “This is a natural fit since our solutions are designed from the ground up with Solution Providers in mind. EmeCloud is 100% channel focused; we do not sell direct to end-users. We are very confident that, with [Maurice’s] leadership, we will significantly grow our reseller relationships and our business without sacrificing exceptional quality of service that has gotten us to where we are today.”

Scheid noted that Saluan “brings tremendous credibility to our partners and will be instrumental in introducing our best kept secrets and methodologies on how Service Providers can rapidly and profitably grow their recurring revenue cloud businesses. He has the expertise to direct the sales efforts of EmeCloud which is experiencing exponential growth.”

No doubt, the Desktop as a Service (DaaS) market has been attracting MSP industry veterans. A key example: Former Thrive Networks President Jim Lippie joined independenceIT, a DaaS and cloud specialist that serves MSPs, earlier this year.

We’ll be back with an interview with Saluan soon.
