Dropbox Channel Chief Adam Nelson says channel partners are an integral part to the company's go-to-market strategy.

Dropbox is continuing its channel expansion by extending a channel program invitation to  channel partners around the globe.

In a late Tuesday night blog post, Dropbox Channel Chief Adam Nelson welcomed international channel partners to the Dropbox Partner Network, the cloud-based file sync and share company’s program for its channel partners.

IT service providers located in the European Union, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are now able to join the network, which was designed to enable partners to resell, manage and support Dropbox for Business.

The San Francisco-based software vendor additionally added teams on the ground in both Australia and Dublin.

The Dropbox Partner Network, which was launched in June 2013, is the home to more than 750 channel partners, a number that Nelson believes will continue to grow.

“We see our partners as an integral part of our go-to-market sales strategy,” Nelson told Talkin’ Cloud in an interview. “Most of our partner acquisitions today stem from organic inquiries when customers directly ask for Dropbox for Business.”

International partners will also have access to Dropbox’s partner portal, where they’ll be able to register new leads, download resources and manage customer accounts from a central location.

“All of our partners, U.S. and international, get the same dedicated support, training and sales collateral in addition to the recurring margin they’ll receive through our partner program,” he said.

He added: “Each of our partners bring the context of their local market and customer base to the Dropbox Partner Network.”

“Overall, we’ve received very positive feedback from partners,” Nelson said. “As part of the Dropbox Partner Network, our clients are able to generate new business, increase satisfaction with existing clients, and reduce time spent troubleshooting with their clients.”
