D&H Dives into the Cloud Market with Cisco Meraki
D&H Distributing marked its entry into the cloud market this week by signing a new distribution deal with the Cisco Systems' (CSCO) Cloud Networking Group, which will give D&H resellers access to the Cisco Meraki portfolio of cloud-managed networking solutions.

D&H is the latest distributor to jump into the cloud fray, signaling an increasing demand in the enterprise market for virtualized services.
According to Cisco, the Meraki Cloud Networking product portfolio will enable D&H resellers to provide their end users with easy-to-use, cloud-based management for their Wi-Fi networks and switching and security policies. The scalable solutions can be monitored by the reseller through a single pane of glass via the Unified Cloud Dashboard and through any Internet connected device. Through the Systems Manager, resellers can utilize Meraki’s remote device management application (MDM) to support any connected iOS or Windows device worldwide, regardless of its chosen network.
“We’re excited to be working with D&H to distribute the Cisco Meraki portfolio,” said Andrew Sage, vice president of Americas Distribution at Cisco, in a prepared statement. “D&H represents a loyal base of resellers in the SMB space. This solution provider community is eager to capitalize on cloud-managed networking opportunities and is looking for proven, affordable technologies for small and midsized organizations. Expanding our presence through D&H’s reseller channel allows a greater volume of providers to develop a profitable yet simplified managed services offering.”
D&H is kicking off its distribution agreement with the creation of a dedicated Partner Services template for its resellers, which is scheduled to launch in July. D&H said the template will help its resellers to market Cisco Meraki’s Cloud-Managed Networking solutions to their customers and will be competitively priced for the SMB marketplace. The distributor said the new solutions will be ideally suited for education users and businesses with multiple distributed branches.
With the finalization of the new distribution agreement, D&H is the latest North American distributor to jump feet-first into the cloud services market. Tech Data (TECD) and Ingram Micro (IM), for example, have conducted big business based off of their cloud portfolios, which are distributed through the company’s TD Cloud and Ingram Micro Cloud Hosted Solutions, respectively.
