DeskCenter USA Launches Cloud Desktop Management Partner Program
There’s no shortage of desktop management software for MSPs to leverage — but DeskCenter USA is betting their newly-launched partner program that their philosophy and cloud-based technology, honed by years in European markets, is enough to set them apart on U.S. soil. Here’s the scoop.
According to DeskCenter USA President and CEO Hans J. Kaemmlein, their namesake suite of 18 desktop management applications has found its way to almost 300,000 desktops in 800 organizations in Germany and other European markets. Among the tasks DeskCenter is aimed at simplifying are patch management, software and OS deployment, Windows 7 upgrading, and problem tracking.
Now that DeskCenter is available to help American partners build out their remote management services, they’re changing their approach. DeskCenter USA is going to focus mainly on the SMB space rather than large deployments, Kaemmlein says.
There are any number options for an MSP in that space, he acknowledges, but DeskCenter’s edge is their background in large-scale deployments. In essence, Kaemmlein says they bring the same level of functionality and support you’d expect from a thousand-seat enterprise solution to businesses with employees in the double digits, reducing the need for IT staff by leveraging the cloud.
The new tiered partner program is fairly traditional: DeskCenter USA will help their resellers tailor solutions to each customer through extensive “getting to know you” sessions; they’ll offer automated support tools to help MSPs with day-to-day tasks; they centralize their application suite in a single dashboard view.
Kaemmlein says that the program was developed in conjunction with their first wave of partners, and that they’re focused almost entirely on channel sales. “Almost,” he says, only because they’re trying to generate reference leads for MSPs through direct sales while they find their footing in the USA.
