CTERA and EMC Atmos Partner for Cloud Storage
Israeli storage solution developer CTERA Networks has partnered up with EMC Atmos for hybrid cloud solutions. To be more precise, customers of CTERA’s so-called cloud attached storage can now select EMC Atmos as the public cloud storage infrastructure on the backend, creating a true hybrid. And to formalize things, CTERA has joined the EMC Atmos Velocity Partner Program.
From EMC’s perspective, the company said it sees the CTERA partnership as a key entryway to the SMB market for the Atmos platform. The combined CTERA-EMC data protection and cloud storage offering enables remote managed services and “LAN-speed backup and file sharing,” according to the press release.
As a refresher, the CTERA Portal managed services platform and associated storage gateway solutions specialize in enabling administrators and service providers to deploy on-premises appliances that back data up to the public cloud of your choice. In the past, CTERA has inked similar partnerships with storage providers like Scality and COMPUTERLINKS UK.
