Cologix on Tuesday announced its first partnership with an IT distributor. The Denver-based network-neutral interconnection and data center company said it has signed a distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics to expand its footprint in the United States and Canada.

“Solutions providers can now use one IT distribution partner to build a complete technology solution for end users,” said Matt Wilson, vice president of Channel Sales at Cologix. “With the current trends to build end-to-end solutions in the partner community, we see a lot of value in being a part of a platform like ArrowSphere.”

As a result of the deal, Arrow solutions providers can now use Cologix’s Channel Partner Program to leverage additional local sales resources in each market and marketing support. They’ll also gain access to a new deal registration and commission process.

“The ArrowSphere platform enables solutions providers to build technology solutions that include the Cologix data center platform as a foundational building block for cloud solutions that include network connectivity and applications,” Wilson said.

He said Cologix expects to recruit North America-based channel partners who “can benefit from including data center sales within complex business solutions.”

“We are focused and committed to building our channel program in 2015,” Wilson said. “Cologix views the partner space as a valuable opportunity to grow the company by working with partners. We will have some other key announcements in the first quarter about additional partnerships that will continue to expand our presence in the partner community.”
