CloudShare Names Autodesk Veteran CEO
CloudShare, which provides resellers and other IT pros with tools to throw any infrastructure into the cloud temporarily for training and demonstration purposes, has a new president and CEO in the form of Autodesk veteran Guri Stark. Previous CEO and CloudShare co-founder Zvi Guterman will be taking a new role as chief strategy officer. The company says it’s all about meeting increased demand for the CloudShare product.
Stark previously was vice president and general manager at Autodesk, where he was responsible for generating a billion dollars of business in the core AutoCAD product line. CloudShare and its board of directors are hoping that Stark can bring that kind of business know-how to the cloud.
Apparently, CloudShare is gaining some momentum. CloudShare claims to serve five of the top 20 software developers in the world, with a 150 percent boost in customers year over year. However, we don’t know how many of those developers use the paid CloudShare ProPlus offering versus the free CloudShare Pro.
