Cloud Technology Partners Buys Sustainability Consultant

Cloud Technology Partners Inc., a cloud consulting firm that formally launched earlier this year, sometime this week will announce the acquisition of Global Green Consulting Group. Indeed, Global Green Consulting Group’s Web site already indicates that the company has been acquired by Cloud Technology Partners, which goes by cloudTP.

Global Green Consulting Group focuses on sustainability solutions. Jim Lampert, founder and president of the consulting group, will take the title of founder and executive vice president, sales and marketing at cloudTP. He will report to Chris Greendale, cloudTP’s founder and chief executive officer.

The Global Green Consulting Group acquisition gets cloudTP’s growth plans off to an early start. In a January interview, Greendale said his company would put its business model to the test this year and look to expand in 2012. He said cloudTP could expand through the hiring of former Cambridge Technology Partners employees (Greendale co-founded that company). He also suggested that boutique consultancies would also join the company.

Strategic consulting is the main thrust at cloudTP. The company aims to help customers migration from traditional data centers to private, public or hybrid clouds. The company targets mid-market customers.
