Cloud Migration Specialist Ajilitee: $12,500 Discount Via Groupon

ajilitee

I’m a big fan of social coupon sites like LivingSocial and Groupon. Whether its meals or movie tickets, they always seem to have something to enhance our team’s private lives. But looking today, I was stopped cold by a Groupon offer for a 50 percent discount (or $12,500 savings) for $25,000 worth of IT consulting services from  Ajilitee, an Illinois-based cloud service provider. For your money, you get either a BI best practices audit or a so-called “Cloud Computing Opportunity Map.” What’s the deal?

First off, it’s important to note that the official Groupon deal is dead. But Ajilitee’s information page on the promotion says that if you call their VP of Sales directly, the offer is still available through March 21st. And your $12,500 gets you two dedicated Ajilitee consultants, including their fees and travel within the continental USA. It’s worth noting that Ajilitee says the services are for those enterprises with revenues of $500 million and up.

As for the services themselves, that business intelligence audit is a straightforward consultancy on how to implement best practices and optimize and enhance data flow through the customer’s IT infrastructure.

More interesting is that Cloud Computing Opportunity Map, which aims to give clients an actionable game plan for migrating to cloud services over the next year or two. In the span of only five days, Ajilitee says it can help identify exactly what the cloud’s value proposition to your company is and recommend ways to implement it, from disaster recovery to virtualization to third-party apps.

So how about it, cloud service providers? Will you be following in Ajilitee’s footsteps and using Groupon to market yourself at a discount?
