Cloud.com And Logicworks Team Up for Public Cloud
Another day, another Cloud.com-powered public cloud offering. Cloud.com has announced that hosting and managed services provider Logicworks is using their flagship CloudStack software to power their infiniCloud public cloud computing service, which launched in December 2010. It’s another customer win for Cloud.com, a company that’s been making a lot of noise in the IaaS and hybrid cloud spaces in 2011.
In the official press release, Logicworks praises the Cloud.com CloudStack platform for its scalability, availability, security and performance. The platform powers Logicworks’ infiniCloud offering.
Here’s what President and COO of Logicworks Kenneth Ziegler had to say on the deal in a prepared statement:
“infiniCloud is a key requirement for clients who want the benefits of Logicworks’ managed cloud services without sacrificing the ability to consume the resources they need on-demand. CloudStack provided us with a proven cloud management platform that enabled us to get to market quickly with a more feature-rich solution than the majority of our competitors. In just a few short months, we already have several satisfied enterprise clients, including NBC, Lagardere, and Kaplan, running production applications in infiniCloud.”
Earlier this week, TalkinCloud reported on a similar customer deal between Cloud.com and Tata Communications for their own public cloud offering. And we’re reliably informed to expect more momentum-building announcements from Cloud.com in the weeks to come.
