BrightWork has partnered with Project Hosts to take its SharePoint– and template-based project management product to the cloud—specifically, the private cloud via Microsoft (MSFT) Windows Azure data centers. The two companies will be deploying BrightWork Online in dedicated cloud environments using Azure data centers and providing the cloud-based offering on a global basis.

The new offering was unveiled at Microsoft SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas, where the company is demonstrating the cloud service this week. The service is based on BrightWork’s nearly two decades of experience in building and delivering project management products built on SharePoint. Using templates and dashboards, BrightWork’s products were designed to enable customers to “start quickly and evolve at their own pace” while benefitting from faster user adoption, a lower ROI and higher project success.

Project Hosts’ approach to providing cloud services is meant to take the benefits of public clouds and on-premise deployments. Its Custom Clouds approach provides a variety of options to companies such as BrightWork, including a dedicated solutions infrastructure, custom applications, specialized security policies and real-time reporting and business intelligence.

“With a BrightWork Online solution deployed and managed by Project Hosts in Azure we can now deliver the same professional-grade level of online services across every continent,” said Eamonn McGuinness, CEO and founder of BrightWork Online, in a prepared statement. “By partnering with Project Hosts’ Azure-based offering we gain incredible deployment leverage, without having to commoditize our cloud offerings. We can continue to offer solutions that can be tuned to each customer’s specific business and technical needs.”

According to the two companies, hosting the BrightWork cloud offering on Azure provides a whole new level of leverage for deploying the project management solution’s capabilities to customers around the world.
