Avnet believes data expansion is rapidly growing in demand, and the new NetApp Syncsort solution is ideal for partners looking to capitalize on the market opportunity. Avnet’s community of NetApp resellers can now leverage and combine offerings with Syncsort and NetApp’s storage solutions. The NetApp Syncsort Integrated Backup solution helps channel partners address de-duplication, disaster recovery challenges and source-side data reduction. The need for backup windows is eliminated, and the technology also provides simpler unified data protection across all data types.

Avnet and Syncsort initially will focus on Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and then build out into the Middle East and Africa. Avnet was chosen in part because of its previous distribution relationship with Syncsort that focused on Canada and the United States, as well as Avnet’s prowess in helping NetApp and Syncsort expand their existing market presence.

NetApp Syncsort Integrated Backup is immediately available through Avnet in the EMEA area. Resellers who sign up with Avnet for the solution automatically join Syncsort’s new Partner Edge Channel program, also in the EMEA.
