Security-as-a-service (SECaaS) provider Alert Logic will now provide its security solutions via Google Cloud Platform.

Alert Logic today announced it will deliver network and system security for workloads running on Google‘s (GOOG’s) public cloud.

“This introduces Alert Logic to a whole new group of companies and customers that utilize Google Cloud Platform — especially small to mid-sized businesses and exciting start-ups that are huge consumers of Google products,” an Alert Logic spokesperson told MSPmentor. “With this announcement, Alert Logic products are now supported on every major public cloud platform; we aim to be the cloud security leader.”

Alert Logic CEO Gray Hall noted his company’s security solutions provide Google Cloud Platform users with:

  • A cloud-based service delivery model

  • Continuous protection

  • Deep insights into security

The company’s Log Manager and Threat Manager services are now available via Google Cloud Platform.

An Alert Logic spokesperson said the company plans to offer Web Security Manager, a web application firewall (WAF) service, via Google Cloud Platform as well.

How do Alert Logic’s Google Cloud Platform solutions work?

Google Cloud Platform users can leverage Log Manager for compliance and security monitoring.

This service collects and analyzes log data and archives it for as long as a user requests.

Threat Manager also is available via Google Cloud Platform and features custom network intrusion detection system (IDS) tools and vulnerability scanning to provide non-stop threat monitoring.

The service offers “a holistic view of security in Google Cloud Platform environments” and assesses customers’ compliance and security needs, Alert Logic said.

Alert Logic already boasts more than 2,700 customers and could reap the rewards of providing SECaaS solutions to Google Cloud Platform users.

The company is the first to deliver IDS and log management capabilities to Google cloud customers, and its new solutions could help it achieve its goal to reach $70 million in run-rate revenue by the end of this year.
