Security and risk management vendor Agiliance announced it has released the Agiliance Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Content Pack, which includes the baseline controls necessary for FedRAMP security assessments and authorization of cloud service providers (CSPs).

Jointly developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the U.S.  General Services Administration, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FedRAMP standardizes security assessment, authorization and monitoring for government cloud programs. The Agiliance FedRAMP Content Pack contains the 168 security controls that both private and public sector CSPs need to implement to fulfill FedRAMP requirements. The Content Pack is now generally available at no cost with the Agiliance RiskVision platform.

“The U.S. government is moving quickly to adopt cloud computing, both for its own data center consolidation projects and now for its cloud service providers … to improve operational efficiency and real-time security visibility,” said Torsten George, VP of worldwide marketing and products at Agiliance, in a prepared statement. “With the addition of new cloud security intelligence in the FedRAMP Content Pack, Agiliance enables government agencies to implement continuous monitoring as prescribed by NIST, FISMA and now FedRAMP.”
