Networking and communication equipment provider ADTRAN (ADTN) has added cloud-managed switches to its ProCloud services portfolio to provide customers with a single pane of glass for the management of wired and wireless networks.
ADTRAN said the addition of the cloud-managed switches to its NetVanta Ethernet switch portfolio will allow companies to scale their networks to meet changing business needs, including increased employee demand for BYOD network performance, according to the announcement.
“The network management features we have incorporated into the ADTRAN ProCloud portfolio reflect our commitment to providing best-in-class user experiences for our customers,” said Todd Lattanzi, director of Product Management at ADTRAN’s Enterprise Networks Division, in a statement. “The ADTRAN ProCloud solution is the only service on the market today that addresses the challenge of limited IT resources, while also providing more insight into network health and administration.
“We are helping companies transform the way they manage their networks with a solution that drives greater business value from networks of any size or complexity,” he said.
According to ADTRAN, the NetVanta Ethernet switches can help simplify ongoing administration as well as improve security through centralized configuration and firmware management. The platform will also provide holistic, vendor-agnostic visibility into real-time and historical information, according to the press release.
All of ADTRAN’s cloud-managed switches are available now with full support for the company’s portfolio of NetVanta switches. Yearly service contracts for the new switches will set customers back about $100, with ADTRAN supporting a pay-as-you-grow infrastructure model for the ProCloud portfolio.
