Microsoft Acquires Adallom to Advance Identity and Security in the Cloud
Microsoft has officially acquired cloud security services provider Adallom for $250 million. The Adallom addition will help Microsoft provide customers with visibility and control over application access and data stored across cloud services, according to Microsoft.
Carbonite has updated Carbonite Pro, its workstation backup solution. The cloud-based backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solutions provider said Carbonite Pro enables users to remotely deploy and manage backups for all of the workstations in their organization.
Apptix Announces the Sale of Its Public Cloud Customer Division to GoDaddy
Apptix has sold the majority of its direct public/multi-tenant cloud customer base to GoDaddy (GDDY) for $22.5 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Apptix customers will migrate to GoDaddy’s Microsoft Office 365 offering over the next several months.
Datapipe Acquires AWS Migration Firm DualSpark
MSPmentor 501 honoree Datapipe has added Amazon Web Services (AWS) migration company DualSpark to its portfolio. Robb Allen, Datapipe’s CEO, said the acquisition will help his company’s customers take full advantage of the AWS public cloud.
Netskope Raises $75M to Address Cloud Security
Netskope has added $75 million in a Series D funding round, bringing its total funding raised to more than $130 million. The cloud security services provider said it will use the Series D funds to expand its sales, marketing, customer success, engineering and research operations worldwide.
