Amazon Isn’t Eating All of Its Own Cloud Dog Food
Does Amazon.com run on AWS? A former Amazon executive told The Wall Street Journal that the website’s back-end databases with confidential data on them do not run in AWS’s cloud. However, the executive noted that “the vast majority of Amazon.com runs in AWS,” according to Network World.
CloudLock Launches Cloud Security for SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and IDaaS
Cloud cybersecurity provider CloudLock has unveiled a cybersecurity-as-a-service offering for any cloud environment. The company also has expanded its cloud security fabric to independent software vendors (ISVs) through a suite of cybersecurity application programming interfaces (APIs).
Alert Logic Launches Cloud Insight for AWS
Alert Logic has released Alert Logic Cloud Insight, a vulnerability and configuration management solution that detects and remediates service breaches within AWS workloads. The security-as-a-service provider said its new release offers an integrated view of potential host and application level vulnerabilities for customers deploying on the AWS Cloud.
Passportal Unveils New Cloud Partner Program
Passportal has announced the Passportal Cloud Partner Program for MSPs, ISVs and value-added resellers (VARs). The new program provides partners with “the tools and training needed to successfully rebrand and resell [Passportal’s] mobile-optimized password protection and management-as-a-service to customers and prospects,” Passportal said.
CloudHealth Technologies Extends AWS Management Reach
CloudHealth Technologies is providing MSPs with additional control over their AWS resources. The IT service management company has updated its CloudHealth platform for MSPs, which now enables service providers to manage AWS instances via a single console.
