Call center as a service provider 3CLogic has raised $4.2 million in a series B round of funding and appointed Robert Killory as its CCO.

3CLogic today said it has raised $4.2 million in funding, bringing its total funding to $9.2 million, and appointed Robert Killory as its chief customer officer (CCO).

The Series B funding round led by Blu Venture Investors will be used to support the expansion of 3CLogic's call center software-as-a-service (SaaS) business offerings, the company said.

3CLogic President and CEO Raj Sharma told Talkin' Cloud that part of the funding will also be used to launch joint marketing programs with the company's channel partners.

"3CLogic has a very robust channel partner program and works with a number of partners to market its cloud-based contact center service," he said.

Placing Killory into the newly created position will assist 3CLogic with developing strategies and executing programs that aim to improve customer experience, the company said.

"While we have built a very innovative technology platform, we are really selling our SaaS," Sharma said. "Robert comes in with the right skill set to help 3CLogic become a leader in cloud based contact center solutions."

Killory joins 3CLogic from Leading Edge Technology Solutions, LLC, a contact center technology firm, where he focused on open architecture and scalability, and welcomed customers to drive the company's technological roadmap.

3CLogic deploys its contact center solution on Amazon Web Services (AWS). It also leverages its Virtual Telephony Application Grid (V-TAG) technology to integrate with customer relationship management (CRM), including Salesforce.com (CRM), Microsoft (MSFT) Dynamics, InfusionSoft, SugarCRM, Zoho and Blackbaud.
