Its Thursday, and that can mean only one thing—it's time for Channel Partner Program Roundup! We’ve got some great articles for you this week, including the latest and greatest news from Voxox, AT&T (ATT) and Comcast (CMCSA). Settle in and let's get started.
Voxox: The cloud-based communication service provider's virtual PBX service, Cloud Phone, has been named the winner in the Best Android – IT or Business Tool category for the recent 2014 Tabby Awards/Business competition. The Tabby Awards, which honor the best-of-breed tablet apps across Android, iOS and Windows OS platforms, named Cloud Phone as a winner for its usability on tablets and its development as an HTLM5-based web application, according to the company.
”We are honored to see Cloud Phone take home a Tabby Award in this prestigious annual competition highlighting business and productivity applications,” said Bryan Hertz, co-founder and CEO of Voxox, in a statement. “The Cloud Phone web app was designed to help small businesses with growing communications needs. This award is a great honor and testament to Cloud Phone’s usability and rich functionality.”
Cloud Phone is a virtual PBX solution that caters to small businesses, allowing them to utilize a dedicated toll-free or local business number that can be forwarded to a user’s existing phone, according to the company. The solution was introduced in February.
AT&T: The telecom giant held its Partner Exchange Summit in Dallas last month, where president of Emerging Business Markets & Wholesale Solutions Brooks McCorcle and entrepreneur Robert Herjavec presented several awards to the company’s most accomplished partners.
This year’s big winners included:
Elevation Award – Logista
Most Innovative Sale – ADCom
Most Epic Sale – Alliant Technologies
Automation Award – AireSpring
Rapid Evolution Award – vCom
Cloud Summit Award – Hitachi Consulting
Wireless Summit Award – MetTel
Wireline Summit Award – Alliant Technologies
Transformation Award – Network Services
Comcast: Comcast Business has added five new master agents to its Partner Program in an effort to serve a larger portion of its audience, according to the company. Each of the new master agents will sell Comcast’s data, voice and video solutions directly to other sub-agents and were chosen in part because of their experience selling cable-based solutions. The five newly minted Master Agents are CNSG, MicroCorp, TCG Partners, Telegration and Venture Group (VGE).
That’s it for this week, but we’ll be back as usual with more channel partner updates next week, same time, same place. Stay safe out there.
