In April, Channel Futures launched a benchmark survey to get a pulse of the top trends and opportunities in the industry during the first quarter of 2021. Things are evening out a bit since the dramatic shift following the coronavirus pandemic. As we continue into the third quarter, we’re interested to know how things have continued to shift. In order to gauge how providers are faring in the third quarter, we are releasing a second quarterly survey. This will allow us to compare data, and give us insight into the various aspects of how MSPs function and the challenges they face.

It’s clear from our last survey that some MSPs were still able to grow their businesses. This was all despite familiar pitfalls, such as the talent shortage and inefficient remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools. Of course, there’s also the constant threat of increasingly advanced cyberattacks. Looking ahead, given these findings, it appears MSPs are in a unique position to thrive in economic shake-ups, and drive value to customers.

Given the results we received from our first-quarter survey, it will be interesting to see how sentiments have changed or remained the same looking back on the second quarter, and ahead.
