As a way of driving growth and reaching a larger target audience, Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VZ) is expanding its current channel partner program into the European market while enhancing its existing U.S. program to give partners an expanded offering of enterprise-class products and services to their customers.
The announcement marks the first time Verizon has extended its reach to European channel partners, with the telecom giant planning to roll out similar programs in Asia-Pacific and Latin America in the near future.
“With a focus on better serving the needs of our clients, we are expanding our Partner Program so that enterprises can take advantage of Verizon’s next-generation services portfolio through an integrated approach to service delivery,” said Janet Schijns, vice president of Medium Business and Channel at Verizon, in a statement. “Whether teaming with Verizon directly, indirectly or as a hybrid, we are enabling clients to simplify how they consume communications and IT services in a way that best meets their needs, while giving them access to the full Verizon portfolio.”
As with all similar partner programs, Verizon is offering a three-tiered benefit system comprised of “Agent,” “Resale” and “Sell With” designations, each of which provides additional permissions and benefits for users. Agent-level members will have the ability to sell solutions on behalf of Verizon, while top-tier “Sell With” partners will have opportunities to jointly market and present unified and complementary solutions to customers across vertical industries.
Through the new program, European channel partners will have access to the company’s portfolio of cloud, advanced mobility, strategic communications and intelligent networking solutions for their midsized business customers.
The expanded program also focuses on providing system integrators, VARs and solution providers with customized opportunities to help meet individual customer needs, according to the company, most notably for customers looking to integrate into Verizon’s Internet of Things endeavors. The program will encompass a broad range of industries, including solutions for health care, financial services, energy and utility, retail and hospitality, according to the press release.
Verizon partners in Europe and the United States will be able to access the company’s suite of tools and services through the online partner portal, which will include training and certification programs for members. Verizon has also appointed a 12-member Partner Advisory Board to represent the opinions of its channel partners and improve communication between the company and its resellers.
