Samsung Wireless Enterprise Joins STEP Partner Program

Samsung Electronics America has opened its Samsung Team of Empowered Partners (STEP) program to the company’s Wireless Enterprise reseller community, which is expected to provide wireless partners with easier access to WLAN solutions and products.
The STEP program is focused on giving Samsung’s value-added resellers new business opportunities surrounding the company’s wireless local area network (WLAN) products. Partners also have access to training, sales enablement, marketing tools and technical support through the STEP program, according to the announcement.
By opening up the program to a new group of partners, Samsung said its Wireless Enterprise resellers will have more opportunities to boost revenue through improved customer retention, sales support and more competitive margins.
Like many traditional partner programs, STEP members are divided among four reseller tiers based on their level of commitment and expertise in selling Samsung’s products and services. STEP launched in April of last year, with the program expected to roll out in phases to Samsung’s global partner ecosystem.
“We are pleased to integrate the STEP program into our channel partner relationships to achieve shared successes and growth,” said John D’Annunzio, general manager for Samsung’s wireless enterprise division, in a statement. “It will help foster long-term relationships with businesses that stand apart with their industry expertise, value to customers and their desire to expand their business with Samsung.”
Samsung said it expected to beat analyst predictions for its Q3 2015 sales with an 80 percent year-over-year operating profit of $6.29 billion when the company released its latest earnings report last month. Samsung’s success was driven largely by strong semiconductor and mobile device display sales.
