The collaboration solutions and services vendor said the program is the latest part of a continuing effort to develop its network of channel partners and gain additional market share.
“Polycom’s channel partners represent a world class standard of excellence that goes unmatched within our industry,” said Mark Arman, Polycom vice president of Worldwide Channel Sales, in a statement. “Our new program more directly links the investments our partners make in selling and servicing Polycom solutions to the recognition and rewards they deserve.”
Similar to other partner programs, Polycom’s latest effort will focus on delivering benefits and training to resellers who invest in developing adjacent technologies and specializing in the company’s service portfolio. Partners will be grouped in four tiers, with entry-level resellers occupying the authorized partner level and the most senior partners enjoying platinum-level status.
Solution providers will be required to meet minimum volume thresholds across all program levels to provide investment protection for Polycom’s top performing partners, according to the announcement. The addition of joint business-planning and program benchmarks such as in-house certified presale or technical experts are also expected to support increased alignment in the field and accelerated sales cycles.
The program is available now in North America, with an expected rollout across the globe throughout 2015 and early 2016, according to the company. No concrete dates were announced in regard to the program’s launch for channel partners outside of the United States and Canada.
