Nexenta Takes Wraps Off New Channel Program
Software-defined storage (SDS) provider Nexenta announced the details of its new worldwide channel program June 3, with new channel chief Don Lopes stepping in to run the company’s international reseller business. As channel chief, Lopes will be responsible for driving Nexenta’s go-to-market strategy and overseeing the new Nexenta Partner Program (NPP), which provides VARs, system integrators and service providers with additional software-defined storage solutions.

As channel chief, Lopes will be responsible for driving Nexenta’s go-to-market strategy and overseeing the new Nexenta Partner Program (NPP), which provides VARs, system integrators and service providers with additional software-defined storage solutions.
Nexenta designed the new channel partner program in conjunction with Lopes and his team, promising to give the company’s reseller network more opportunities to capitalize on the growing SDS market and deliver more products to their customers, according to the press release. Partners will be divided into two tiers as part of the new program, with a new deal registration program being instituted to bring added profit to partner sales and cut down on reseller conflict.
Nexenta is also revamping its Marketing Development Program to help deliver new business opportunities to its partners with sales assets including an NPP Sales Starter Kit designed to help partners garner more sales success. Channel sales managers are being deployed to help partners with sales and marketing efforts on a more personal level.
